ABSTRACT

To achieve a GUT scale that is small, ≤ 200TeV, so that it is within the reach of conceivable earth-based accelerated colliding beam devices, we introduce a new approach to the subject of grand unification. Central to the approach is the abstraction of the heterotic string symmetry group physics ideas in a novel way which allows us to control baryon number violating effects to be consistent with current experimental limits.
