ABSTRACT

The purpose of this current article is to report our increasing experience with the hydrosurgery device in debridement of a variety of wounds. 34 wounds in 14 patients with significant co-morbidities were debrided mainly by the hydrosurgery system in addition to cold knife that was used for minor eschar excision. The advantages of the hydrodebridement, technical tips during its application, limitations and disadvantages in wound bed preparation were reviewed and discussed based on our experience and current literature.
