Aims & Scope


The Open Fish Science Journal is an Open Access online journal, which publishes research articles, reviews, letters and guest edited single topic issues in all frontier areas of fish science, including shellfish, molluscs and crustaceans and on fisheries research. The scope covers fishing technology, fisheries in salt, brackish and freshwater systems, and all aspects of associated ecology, environmental aspects of fisheries, and economics. The journal particularly welcomes case study papers on basic population biology (growth, mortality), and on fisheries assessment and management performance.


The Open Fish Science Journal, a peer reviewed journal, is an important and reliable source of current information on developments in the field. The emphasis will be on publishing quality articles rapidly and making them freely available worldwide.
